I can relate to the kid who lost his dad. I lost my parents too soon, and growing up without them was a nightmare. But I learned that my parents will be there for me in spirit, no matter what happens to me in life. No one should have to face losing a parent at a young age. Never, especially to a drunk driver. It’s sickening how many people lost loved ones to Mr. Booz driving recklessly.

Not counting the losing-his-dad part, I completely empathize with that child. When I was a freshman in high school, someone took a video of me using the bathroom and never got caught. For six years, I was stubborn and said I would never forgive him. Then, a wise friend told me that hurt people hurt people, and it made me wonder what could have been hurting this guy so bad that he had to take it out on me in such a horrific way. And then, a pastor I am friends with convinced me to forgive the guy. As soon as I forgave him, I realized just how much hating him was hurting me, and was able to move on and regain my strength completely.

Ikr, this acting is horrendous, Especially the drunk driver’s acting. He sounds like he’s laughing while saying his dialogue, and his expression doesn’t change one bit when says “heartbreaking” dialogue. ALSO THEY LITERALLY DID THE SAME PLOT A YEAR AGO. Except a different sport but literally the same dialogue barely changed. And the only lesson I learn from Luis is that Dhar Mann, (despite how corny his lessons can be) truly has good acting. (Unlike some of them *cough cough*)
@janabuchheit33892 жыл бұрын
Thanks for another positive life lesson. Unforgiving eats the soul. Forgiveness is for your personal growth and is so freeing. It doesn't mean you agree or like the situation, but it helps you grow from within. Bad things happen to good people and good things happen to bad people. It's the end result that makes the difference. God allows struggles to help us grow, we don't know the end result, but He does.
@carolynzinchini34582 жыл бұрын
I learned this many years ago through some untrue accusations made by an ex-wife of my husband. She went so far as to go to the Christian School and Church that we had attended for 7 years and accused my husband of horrible things. In the end, even though the Courts were on our side, we lost Custody of my stepchildren for a couple of years and my stepson suffered the worst at the hands of his mother. But my issue of forgiveness goes back to my Pastor at the time. I couldn’t understand why he wouldn’t believe us and chose to believe what this woman was saying and why the Principal allowed her to see the children at all when we gave him 5 Court Orders that she wasn’t supposed to have ANY Communication with the children outside of Supervised Visitation ordered by the Court. It took me 2 years to get over my anger over all of this INJUSTICE!!! Then we happened to be visiting the church again because of a special speaker and I knew that I had to ask forgiveness from the man that I felt had wronged us so badly… Not that he had changed his opinion necessarily, but because I was asking God to change our situation. I had no right to hold unforgiveness in my heart. So with Thousands in attendance, I told the Lord that if He wanted me to do this He would have to bring this man in front of me alone to make it possible. Not 2 minutes later he walks right in front of me alone…. So I explained that I had been holding onto anger for him for 2 years and regardless of whether he felt he was right in his assumption of us, I had no right to hold onto this anger for so long. So I asked for his forgiveness. His words to me after all this time?? “Your forgiven.” He came to know in time from my stepson (who I have always claimed as mine) and on his own he told him the TRUTH ABOUT EVERYTHING!!! How his mother wasn’t mentally well and how she always wanted to keep him and his sister away from my husband. This happened about a year after I spoke with the Pastor and we had gotten Custody of him returned to us. At that point in time, we were told that we didn’t have to let him see his mother at all… it was up to us. But we could never be like that. At 16 1/2, he had a car and a cell phone. He still chose not to see her until he was 18 1/2, for a total of 3 1/2 years. All by his own choice. I guess the moral of this story is twofold. Walk in forgiveness and watch what God will do in your life and who He will give back to you to be in your life. Or… stop trying to be the Parent trying to ruin your children’s relationship with their other Parent!! The one that may get ruined is YOURS!!!

Please don't be like that people because of that, I never got to know my cousin or my aunt and because of that, my uncle never got to see his own daughter grow up until an amazing adult and didn't have the chance to live the rest of his days with the love of his life by his side.

Losing loved one to drunk driver hurts, the boy will confront his parent's killer soon. It will take time to heal, forgive and move on but the guilt will eat away at the culprit. Ouch!!!

This hits me right in the heart. It is hard for me to forgive a lot. But I can't fathom what this kid without a dad going through. But I'm for stricter DUI laws, to some degree.
