I love the way SoD uses looping. so many loopers have you watch it become something. SoD comes on with a full on energy, and you don't even know he's looping until after it's done. Very very cool. His harp playing is his own take on the blues harp. Fine Stuff. Makes ya wanna move.

I would love to see this live! That would be SO hard breathing and singing and blowing that harp so enthusiastically. I remember seeing Brad Roberts working in the Blue Note cafe on Main street in Winnipeg a few years before their band Crash Test Dummies broke thru the stratosphere. It was sad when Brad gave an interview a few years back and said how the music business operates....they had a huge platinum or gold record one year and then when the next album had half the sales, the record label/agent wouldn't even return phone calls. thats a dog eat dog business. Its great to see Ben developing his blues chops more and more ...aging like fine fine.
