Thank you for leaving the original commercials in....I simply love traveling back in time. And what a great time it was. I miss them dearly.

Thank you for recording this movie and also donating it, so we could watch. I love things like this, it's like going back in time. One question, the svengolie show, was that originally shown only in the chicago area? I'm able to watch that show now, and have been for the last several years. I'm thinking it must have gone national in the last 5 or 6 years, just a guess. It reminds me so much of my childhood, in the 1970's and early 80's in Mass there was a great program called creature double feature on Saturday afternoon. Then on Saturday night there was also creature feature, they showed the same type of movies, except they didn't have the crazy host, you could only hear him. One last thing, did you ever record old hockey games(and still have them) I know it's a long shot, I collect them and figured I would take a chance and ask?

Even though on 6/25/1982 when this was originally aired I was a little short of seven months old I still remembered hearing Svengoolie sing that song in the intro just as clear and concise as if I just heard it two weeks, four days, seventeen hours, and thirty three minutes ago. Probably because it was so good that I've used it as a benchmark to know what the most perfect song would sound like. I still haven't ever found it's equal, some require a cup of coffee to get up in the morning, I require hearing that song. One day in 2007 due to a power outage when visiting away from home I wasn't able to hear it till the afternoon that day. I couldn't tell you exactly what happened because I blacked out, but hearing from others I was told I became so angry that I fell into a lack of musical induced bloodlust. When I came to there was a bunch of people apparently sleeping on the streets and sidewalks, plus I must have gotten into a great deal of Ketchup because I was covered in the red stuff. And the national guard was behind a large blockade playing my favorite song through their loudspeakers. What a lucky coincidence! I guess one of them also had great taste in music.

Chicago was a great place to grow up in the 70's and 80's. I left in 85' for adventures west and never returned. Now it looks like riff raff has taken over and ruined my home city. Fight and bring it back. Change your voting habits.
