Son stabs parents inside Olympia home

A Thurston County judge found sufficient evidence to hold a man in jail who police said armed himself with both a knife and sword and stabbed both his parents. Prosecutors have filed documents claiming they have probable cause to charge the man with two counts of attempted murder.
Olympia police said they received a suspicious 911 call from a home on the 3500 block of Merryman Place Southeast around 8:15 p.m. on Wednesday. All the dispatcher could hear was some kind of commotion or fighting in the background, so officers were sent to the location.

It's a real bad problem, especially for young men. Lots of factors involved but it largely comes down to parents who can't/won't teach independent life skills. The helicopter parenting trend is backfiring badly. That's too bad. I'm sure these parents thought they had their A game on.
