Bro , your the first one to ever mention the rooster tail,☝️☝️, I live in California and that’s all the bass like to hit. I’m a rookie for sure. I Try everything but the only thing they like are the rooster tail. Appreciate the content. Keep it coming.

They can be the ticket this time of year especially.

Second that on the roostertail. Make sure you put a swivel above it to keep the line twist down.

For that last pick I thought you were going to say curly tail grub. It's another forgot classic that is still recommended to beginners but also catches fish as good as most modern lures.

Is it just a straight retrieve for a curly tail grub?
@avdmustang2 күн бұрын
@@AyCee21 that's the easiest way for sure and it definitely works. But you can also do other various retrieves.

I'd add a blade bait for the winter also. It does wonders on a cold front day when they won't hit noisy baits like lipless cranks with rattles. The inline spinner is a secret of mine also. So much so that I bought lots of wire and make my own. I love tying dressed treble hooks in all colors and sizes to match the hatch.

Thanx Sonar. All good info. The 1/4oz lippless can really be deadly this time of year. That being said, 2 weeks ago I encountered that exact situation during a club tournament and the bass weren't having it.tryed all the usual. Had been caching bass on docks that day with a Texas rigged worm so after all else failed I tossed the worm and caught 2 keepers. Some times who knows!

I also found out that the tush and minnowz is a great pair that 2/0 hook is perfect

I seen a few other fisherman on youtube that said to not match a paddle tail soft bait with a chatterbait cause the chatter bait messess with the action of the paddle tail. Idk im still a rookie bar far.
