Yes, although making sure all the sonar and temp readings are working makes being in the water beneficial.

I’ve never calibrated a trolling motor in the parking lot but if I did Im sure it would be ok as long as I’m not doing anything crazy. Haha

Lowrance 9" Elite FS - I have a hard time seeing screen when its sunny out. I do ware polarized sun glasses. Do you have any suggestions on how to correct this problem. I tried to tur brightness up also.

What’s the difference in the navionics map cards? Like There’s the plus, the platinum plus, hotmaps platinum, and I’m not sure which one is best for me. I live in NE Florida and only bass fish lakes around me and kinda confused by all the different options navionics has. And also how to do go through your mapping setting and set them up correctly? Im not really clear on the difference options cause I don’t exactly know what shade relief and all that is?

kzbin.info/www/bejne/d2bEY6ChaJqhfbM This is a good video to break it down. As you mentioned there’s also the new Platinum + which to make it simple is the same as the HotMaps Platinum but it also includes saltwater. The Platinum+ is what I use most, but only because of the overlays.
