IS SORORITY LIFE FOR YOU? Pros & Cons of Greek Life

I really want to join a sorority but the only thing that worries me is the fact that I’m going to be a dance major, so what if I have something that’s mandatory for dance like a rehearsal or performance on the same day as a mandatory meeting or event for my sorority?

My sorority at my school always made exceptions for those type of things. That being said I do go to a small school so that may play a role in the laid back approach. I personally am a d3 cross country runner and my sorority always let me go to practice/meets. Now I'm alumni and looking back on it it was difficult but doable

I think it'd be helpful to specify that this is for your school, there's a few schools (like mine) where recruitment is in the spring semester or others that I've seen that only allow sophomores to recruit or like at my school we don't live in houses and use them as meeting spaces etc instead of living in (due to laws in Ohio back when my college was established, they don't exist anymore of course) I did find the other stuff helpful but at first I was a bit confused

I have some questions if anyone can answer them ok first do you have to be American or have an American passport to be in a sorority second what do you do in the house like what is it for is it schooling third question do you have to have amazing grades and lastly is it something to do with helping people thank you byeee

I love you so much, I applied to UCF as a Radio Tv Major and want to rush for a sorority and hopefully be apart of KD 💕💕💕

What exactly is Summer B?

Some people get admitted to go to ucf the summer before fall starts to take two classes and get to know the campus! Its a 6 week period so the classes are very fast paced, every day and about two hours each!

Wait...so do I have to PAY to join a sorority? Girls at my school are trying to recruit me to join but I don’t work and I just do school full time so I’m broke and not trying to get a job until after school ....now I’m rethinking

You do have to pay! Depending on your school and what sorority, if you have a house, if you get meals- it will be different! I lived in the house and got meals M-F so it was more expensive than others!

Sonali what if I’m a commuter and don’t wanna live in a house. Also can I say no to the late parties or events as I’m a commuter. Also if I have class or job at the time of mandatory meeting what would I do?

@@maleehawahid3383 I'm a commuter student and I still have to pay for mine dies will just be a lot less.and in my sorority school always comes first so you can always say no to parties just not recruitment events/mandatory events. Parties aren't mandatory but sometimes dinners/study sessions/ and big charity events are

Choose *Jesus* and *heaven instead. You can't have both. All Greek fraternities and sororities during pledging or rush to Greek gods/goddesses and there is only space for one lord (or Lord if it's Jesus) of our life. Like there's only space for one basketball to fit in a hoop at the same time. Jesus died a violent death for you to *choose heaven* because we all either *choose heaven* or *choose hell* . He won't force you. If you *choose* heaven, then you will need to denounce and ask Jesus to come into your heart, ask Jesus to come into your heart, believe Jesus died on the cross and rose again from the grave, and repent (confess all your sins to Him) and have Him be Lord of your life *over* everyone and everything including Greek life. This world will change like it has never changed before.
