I hate when people ask about hazing. Every sorority has a national board that cracks down on that stuff so hard. If there was even a tiny bit of hazing most likely the chapter would be shut down so fast.

@@000AnnA000D Hazing is a broad term for making new members do anything that ostracizes them or makes them feel uncomfortable. It could be anything from forcing them to wear a shirt to stand out from other students- to making them go to parties and stuff. It's not just smoking or drinking. It's basically extinct on college campuses.

We just went through 10 days of recruitment at Alabama and I ended up dropping out of mine after a few days because I kept getting the house back, but could never see myself there and even told them that. There were houses that I loved and saw myself in and was already being myself in, but it just didn't work out that way. I am already getting involved in a lot of other things, but if I still think this video was a great help for me to help me realize I didn't do anything wrong. Thanks for all the great advice!!!!!!! Hopefully I can get myself to re-rush next fall :)

Girls frequently mention figuring out your fit based on how good your conversations are throughout rush, but then it sounds like you don't have chance to talk with very many of them. How many different girls did you interact with in each house? I'm out of college, but these videos are so interesting. I didn't know when I was in college that I could really ask girls about rush and I was curious about it. I wasn't close friends with any sorority girls although I interacted with a lot of them in various groups I socialized with. It was not financially feasible for me and was probably not really my thing anyway.

Commenting from Japan! Wish I watched this vid over 10 years ago before/when studying abroad in the states… Only heard mostly cons of joining sororities so I was too scared to rush. But after watching how y’all view your sorority in the vid, I should’ve rushed for sororities at my college at least. Rush could be a success or fail (due to the fact that I was a foreigner and English is not my first language), though it is still worthwhile communicating with other girls and socializing with them to get to know each house better. If I could go back to my college time, I would definitely rush for all the houses!

Hi Keegan! What about rushing as a junior ? I’m transferring soon to a university after earning my associates degree and I’ve heard it’s harder to get into a sorority when you’re not a freshman
@KeeganActon5 жыл бұрын
Cindy Manrique it may be harder because you can only be in the chapter for 2 years while a freshman can be in for 4 years. but it’s definitely doable. there are tons of girls in my chapter and in others that rushed as a junior

Choose *eternity through Jesus* instead. Sororities form a *covenant* when they rush, which is *sin* called *idolatry* . The wages of all sin is eternal death (hell). There's only *ONE* way to heaven, and it's Jesus. If you want to choose Jesus, ask Jesus to come into your heart, believe Jesus died on the cross and rose again, and confess all of your sins to Him. Jesus is the *only* way, not sororities, not Allah, not Buddha, not the universe, not tarot/astrology, etc. - *only* Jesus.
