see it form the other side: A band 's best song is the name of the record, the best known song is for marketing etc. Sonata puts a masterpiece, better than most 'best album songs' as bonus! all fans want to have this bonus song cuz it's awesome! only Sonata Arctica can write poetry and give it as bonus, it's not a filler like most songs from other bands

In interviews the bands explains us about that. In japan the music cds have a high price, so they give them bonus tracks.

hey you who dunno yet, they have also another bonus track called ''To Create A Warlike Feel'' which is only included in finnish UNIA-issue , if I'm not wrong =) Try it.

Japanese get own bonus tracks because CD's cost so much in Japan that it is cheaper to order them from some other country... That's why bands put japan bonus songs on their record... it is pure bussiness to make the japanese to buy the record in their own country. Tony Kakko told this on For The Sake of Revenges comment track.. although it is in finnish so everybody here of course didn't understand it :)

Great bonus track as usual from Sonata. To Create A Warlike Feel just has the edge though and their best bonus track is still Respect The Wilderness for me I think. Nonetheless, a very beautiful song which fits well on a truly stunning and underrated album.

@ShwangShwing A main reason behind this: Japan was the first nation to fully embrace Sonata. Did a project on them for a music class in college and read up on their background. :)

If they didn't give bonus tracks to the Japanese, Japanese fans wouldn't buy the music. It costs more to them due to the shipping costs. Sonata ships them there because two of the three live DVD's they've done were there (Song Of Silence and For The Sake Of Revenge), so they obviously have a large fanbase there. So bonus tracks are kind of like a thank you and more initiative to buy the album in Japan :]

The high costs in Japan aren't from shipping. They produce their own CD's, which is the problem itself, since manufacturing over there is way more expensive. Shipping costs for "little" things like CD's aren't that high. In order to prevent Japanese people from buying cheaper imports and let their own CD-Market crash, they have to put something special on them. That's why Japanese People get all the bonus tracks from a lot of Bands, not only Sonata.

The fact that there are japanese bonustracks is annoying but not unfair. I would not bother so much people if most of these tracks weren't as kick as as they are... Oh well I still have the hope that they'll release a special CD with all bonus tracks (I think we could leave out some of the cover songs). THAT would be fair, cuz people who are willing to buy these songs could do so (without buying all albums two times) and the japanese would not have to do so because they already own the songs.

SA WAS considered Power Metal, but Tony didn't like being considered that genre- thus UNIA and the comparative slow that it contains. These days ( that is, regarding UNIA ) they are more Progressive Metal.

Well it wasn't their best, but it had its moments. For me it was about half and half. But compared to the other albums this one's down. I mean with most of their albums I love all the songs on it.
