I’ll be watching because I want to. If you don’t want to watch then don’t. It is really that simple.

I remember when I got my first digital camera and it was so amazing to have even blurry photos on my computer because it was "digital". Same experience with music and video. Eventually it became normal and I only saved what I liked and it wasn't enough that it was just "digital". This is what has happened with movies and TV shows. So much is focused on diversity that I am sure someday the focus will be on story telling, character development, and engaging the audience. It will just be a matter of time.

Actual, Captain Tryla Scott was the first on screen black female captain. She was in Season 1 of ST: TNG episode 24 “Conspiracy”

Absolutely true, and it's a milestone that should be recognised, but when it's attributed to Sonequa Martin-Green it's in the context of her role in the show rather than her being literally the first on-screen appearance of a black female captain in Star Trek. Michael Burnham is the first black female character to be the captain of the main ship in a Star Trek series in the same way Janeway was the first female captain to do so and Sisko was the first black captain to do so.

It's AI, but the goal was to pin down the black female captain at the beginning of Star Trek The Voyage Home. My favorite :)

It's because star trek has been about telling stories, unlike starwars which sells im bulk fr sales. with discovery, lower decks, picard, section 31 => three of those are ending. also opens new doors for new shows like legacy , strange new worlds, etc.

I recently revisited Battlestar Galactica, a series made in 2004, so 20 years ago. What a huge difference between this show and the stupidity called Star Trek Discovery. BG is superior in all chapters: story, acting, directing and even the special effects... made 20 years ago.....

The only thing Discovery was good for was giving us the strange new worlds series.

What the hell are you on about? Michael Burnham is one of the coolest and most compelling and characters in all of Star Trek! This in large part due to the wonderful and masterful preformance by Sonequa Martin-Green.
