Awesome video as always. We caught the eclipse down in Thermopolis, WY (only 45 minutes away). Absolutely amazing to see. Hopefully by the time the next one crosses between Texas and New England in 2024 I will have finished my Sonex and we can fly down like you did.

Jim, how about a video describing the build process in retrospect? How did I it work building a plane and working? Why the sonex and would you do it again? What would yo do different? I would like to build my own plane in a few years getting ready for retirement. I’m considering what plane to build and Sonex WX, zenith 650 and RV14 are my consideration planes, why the Sonex?

The funny thing about building an airplane is that after it's built, all you want to do is fly it! The reason for the Sonex is that it is 2/3rds an RV for 1/3 the price (your mileage may vary).
