Not sure what you could do with more choices for buildings, perhaps building bonuses for others? For arleon say a blacksmith that increases offense/defence of units produced at that location to further build tall, or adventurer guild to cheapen the cost of units for building wide. I do agree there should be some differentiation between each faction so it isn't so similar but that would take time I suspect. I'll tell you what I really want, loth to actually have a raise mechanic. Currently it only works on 'human' type units and you won't always be fighting them, not to mention risen are absolute garbage. Slow, weak and can be safely ignored. Going from HoMM to another franchise TWH2 had a 'point based' revive mechanic in that each unit killed by the VC had a value given to them and once the battle was over the vampire counts/coast could use those points to resurrect what they chose. If implemented loth would have to be toned down a bit to keep them balanced of course until say research could increase their production rates of units.

Not every game needs ranked but it helps with player retention for sure.

@@hejnewar9044 Heroes 3 was totally dead before HOT'a but sure lets cope that this game doesnt need ranked system :D
