In this clip from Walt Disney's ‘Song of the South”(1946), Uncle Remus tells the story of Brer Rabbit and the Tar Baby to Johnny and Toby. This scene proceeds the How Do You Do song.

When I watched this as a child on TV I saw an elder telling stories that had morals to children. AND people were mean to kind people.

Nothing at all racist about this movie.

0:19. Uncle Remus isn’t going to give them the dog unless Johnny tells me to.

If Song of the South hadn’t been racist, there would’ve been a nice addition of an Uncle Remus animatronic at Splash Mountain, his animation would look life-like, kinda like Finn from Rise of the Resistance, and very fluid movements.

I have heard about the allegations of racism and I must admit I don't entirely understand it. Aside from anything else, the original compiler of the Uncle Remus stories (Joel Chandler Harris) was an abolitionist who was sufficiently in favour of Black civil rights that Booker T. Washington was a fan of his journalism.
