As someone who grew up in a very conservative, fundamental Christian household, bands like Starflyer 59 were a blessing. Tooth and Nail had some great stuff from bands covering shoegaze, hardcore, punk, and grunge. A lot of it still holds up today, especially this early Starflyer stuff.

For another Starflyer reaction, I’d recommend “Underneath,” the opening track from their 2003 album, Old. That’s such a great song and such a great album. They had the incredibly talented Frank Lenz on drums and Richard Swift (R.I.P.) on keys on that album, which really worked in its favor.

If you're doing a Starflyer reaction video the first one to react to is Fell in Love at 22.

Just about anything from The Fashion Focus is great. Such a huge change in sound, but they pulled it off so well. That album and Americana- the one before it- sound so different from each other, but I love them both equally.
