I wanted at least one synthwave song in my list, and we're kinda spoiled for choice these days. I almost went with FM Attack because they have a more accurate 80s sound, but The Midnight seemed to have more general appeal.

Ive been on a synthwave kick last couple of weeks, listening to lots of "Gunship" and "Carpenter Brut" (artists I highly recommend checking out) i was just about to start digging into The Midnight next, so this review is good timing for me :)

Recommendation for Gunship. Check out the official video for When You Grow Up Your Heart Dies. It's a love letter to the 80s, made entirely with fan-submitted reenactments of various movie scenes.
