It's mesmerizing how they sound even better live than on record. Not only does Tyler put 150% to his singing but I've never seen someone as passionate about drumming as Josh is.

They don't sound exactly as on the albums, but it doesn't matter, they can give a really nice show, even better than a lot of artists who need to spend a lot of money to give a barely impressive show.

The song is a prayer - I think I find it so compelling because it's like I'm witnessing someone open himself up to God and reach out for something more. We all long for something bigger than our fears, so I think this song really resonates with even people who don't pray or anything.

It doesn't matter how many likes, or comments, or views these guys have on their videos. None of it defines their talent. This band is honestly the most relatable band I've come across so far that can both deeply move me with their lyrics and still make me want to get up and dance like crazy. Not with this song though, of course haha. But seriously, I love Tyler and Josh, they've saved my life and I will always be one of their many dedicated fans. |-/

As someone who grew up in a christian family, and is strugling with relationship with God and depression, this song speaks directly to my soul. I can't help but crying everytime i hear it, not just because i relate to it, but because knowing that Tyler also felt this lack of life inside of him just hurts me so bad. Tyler is one of the strongest people in the music industry, and I thank God everyday for letting him put his emotions and his soul into his music and sharing it with us.

@Raisume246 жыл бұрын
I feel like maybe this shows a sense of catharsis on his behalf... He's said before; he enjoys sad music. So Maybe this is his way; of adding to the sad music.... but also; adding more words to the story that he's going to continue telling for years to come. This song hits me in a place that I never knew existed. It hurts. but it's beautiful. I love it. so much -- It's one of those songs that I can just sit down and listen to, when I'm numb and it makes me feel something, and it's also one of those songs, that I can just sit down and cry to, if I really need it. When I think of Tyler and Josh, I don't think of "those guys that place Stressed Out." ..... I see them as melodic, harmonic, cathartic release of endorphins that help the world show it's true colors, no matter how messed up their true colors may be. I honestly love this band, more than I've loved any other band, because the messages behind their songs are deeper than any of us can or could imagine.... It's genuine. Most people just make records just to pump them out for the crowd... but these guys.... They stick it out... Slowly; steadily, surely.... they become one with the music they make, and they let their words be LISTENED TO rather than just gently hummed on the radio, being heard; doesn't mean anything if you don't listen to the words they say.
@michaelholliday91859 жыл бұрын

you know, people can be mean. the other day i was in class i had my earbuds in and i was listening to some twenty one pilots while doing my work. this kid (my boifran) comes over and puts one of my earbuds in his ear and listens to it and he goes, "i didn't know there was such depressing music out there, isn't this the music you cut yourself to?". i'd had it at that because he and his friends would supposedly "tease" me for being depressed and being a self harmer. so i said to him, "actually, i don't. these are the songs i listen to when i'm sad, or when i need motivation to do something. this song saved my life, but you wouldn't know because you're too busy flirting with other girls and making fun of me that you couldn't understand what i go through, and even if you did you wouldn't give a sh*t because you're a selfish d*ck that obviously doesn't want me. so you know what? we're done, i'm sick and tired of your bullsh*t so please stay out of my life. have the day you deserve." sorry this is long but i wanted to share this. btw the song that saved me was truce and addict with a pen. we don't talk anymore but he still talks crap about me but i don't give a flying frick about that prick. so uh, yeah. and also excuse my language through this whole thing...
@korieb63507 жыл бұрын
I would have drop kicked his ass too. Being depressed and a self-harmer is nothing to make fun of. Without him knowing how many people, are depressed and not having any resources to help them through it, actually, kill themselves bc they can't get through it. There are hundreds of lives that have been lost, to comments like that. thank you for this my dood. Stay strong, and stay alive, because peace will win and fear will lose

I get chills every time I see Josh shake his head like Tyler does. They both feel the music because it's a part of them and it's so beautiful to watch.

I just can't express my love for these guys. I used to be depressed and suicidal, and they single- handedly saved my life. Tyler is such a good man to do make this beautiful music.

it's so cool how that, even though these are tyler's words and tyler is singing, how josh is equally absorbed in the music, in the performance, feeling and expressing just as much emotion as tyler
