The Songo Popnd is closed to collectong at the moment and there is no plan to re-open. Nonetheless, we appreciate people viewing the video and there are many nearby locations which are open, especially those located in the National Forest. Please visit the White Mountain National Forest station for information.

i was there 15 years ago ,owner peppers the mine fore kids and peeps that cant work so hard,..cool place,.. i found some yellow beryls,and a metalic mineral that have still not been classified.

that's a great location, and you have some nice specimens that you showed at the end. I was really hoping to see where the aquamarine was coming out of the ground so I could see if it was similar to what I'm working. thanks for sharing.
