So, as soon as I finished the training school at the then Water Street Railway station, I was posted at the Songo Train Station where I spent several years. Chief Bai Kompa Yeak the second was the chief at the Koya area district. I know areas like Mokolo, colony area, ..... Those were good old days in Sierra Leone.

OMG l remembered going to Boxing Day outings in the early 70s with buses lettered from A to Z . Sometimes those 26.buses are not enough. Not too sure which organization if l may remember is the (YMCA) outing. I wonder why they completely forgot about that village. Nice people in the village they always look forward to us spending the day with them. Every house no matter what that house looks like will host someone that day.

I enjoyed this trip through a green and fertile landscape very much. I am glad to get an idea of what Songo Township looks like - no doubt, it`t worthwhile to visit.
