Had the great pleasure of playing a few gigs with Kal and Lauri when they lived in LA back in the 80s. Seems to me the rest of the world is finally finding out what a swinging bluesman he really is. His club in Palm Springs was a very cool place and his trio was as "tight as two coats of paint" Blow it down, Kal!!!

I've been a huge fan of Kal David since first hearing him at his Palm Springs club "Blue Guitar" back in the late 90's. It's rare to find a blues guitarist that's a great player and a great singer, usually it's one or the other..... but in Kal you get the complete package! Just stop for a second and listen to the amazing sound he gets from just organ, drums and guitar/vocal.

I agree with Mr. Reaves (below), but have to say that -- knowing Kal during his Blue Guitar period in Palm Springs -- I got the feeling that the business had done him some injuries that had made him very distrustful of anyone other than the musicians he cautiously allowed past the castle gates. It got around that things went Kal's way or the highway, and that got =in= the way several times that I know of. That said, he's got a right to do it all =his= way.
