Dirty Loops are from another planet. Seriously !!!!! Nobody comes close for speed, accuracy and musicianship. I truly believed Buddy Rich was the best drummer to ever have lived and I have held that opinion for over 50 of my 63 years on this planet. Then Aron Mellegard of Dirty Loops turns up !!!!!! Not so sure about Buddy now.

I sooooooooo love this band. It is crazy, but after 10 years they never bore me out. I love the high level of musicality and the extreme talent that only top musicians have. Same level like Prince, MJ, Jacob Collier, Donny Hathaway, Stevie Wonder, Marcus Miller, Vinnie Colaiuta, Chaka Khan and lot's of others i did not mention. Thank you Henrik, Jonah and Aron for the guts. Also thanks to Quincy and Andreas.

My brain has been exploded by the fact the drum solo is basically played entirely 1 beat behind the "true metronome", but then goes back to the true metronome and the bass joins back in at the right time. It's a real thinker.

And speaking of soul, if you can’t hear the pocket or feel the soul when those guys play, you’re not even worthy of watching the video! Well, that’s probably not fair to say, but they are definitely in the top, less than 1% of musicians in the world as far as I’m concerned!

I'm not a bass expert but I think the fact that he has a 6 strings bass helped with his consistency in hitting those notes. And yes I do agree that though it looks easy, the imaginary strain that you feel when he's hitting those notes makes your brain hurt

When I first found them, I stayed up all night watching everything I could from them. They toured US and Canada earlier this year and I got a chance to see them in Denver. They are amazing. In my opinion, (as a drummer) Aron is like a top 100 in the world drummer right now. Just how goddamn clean and perfect every hit and rudiment he does is. It’s absolutely ridiculous. He’s who I aspire to be when I get a bit older and more experienced. And Henrik is just absolutely ridiculous.
