So the plot for the Froyo song and Count me in, is that Liv got that agent Becky, who wants her to be like Katy Perry. So she sang this song about Froyo that is meant to serve like an add for the Froyo shop in their town. The thing is that almost everyone hates it, and so does Liv. She had to sing it live at the Froyo shop, but she found in Maddie's diary (her twin), a poem about their relationship, and she made a song of it. This song is Count Me In, and the place where she sang it is the Froyo shop. There's more to it, but that's a summary of the context for the songs.

If you want more from the guy singing 'True Love', his name is Jordan Fisher. He was also in Teen Beach Movie (with a very small part, so it's understandable that you might've missed him) and he played Evan Hansen for a while in Dear Evan Hansen. His version of 'You Will Be Found' is absolutely beautiful and also very different from Ben Platt's version. I think it really shows his voice very well

Yes, Holden (the guy) was dating Liv's best friend Andy. But at this point he doesn't love her but also doesn't want to hurt her. Him and Liv almost kiss but fortunately Willow (friend and bandmate) saw them and interrupted them. Then Andy walked by and was like "wow guys this is so good you should sing that for the late night show we're invited on". Of course it was a bad idea, and it didn't end well, but what we need to remember is that Liv and Holden were so good together and that we were robbed. (Honestly Disney made two enormous errors in this show: 1- not making Liv and Holden endgame, even if it's very open and there's hope for them in the future. 2- bringing back Diggie who sucked and making Maddie choosing him instead of Josh, just because the actors were dating at this time.)

yeah, they used a double for scenes where they hug or touch each other - you can tell bc the wig is usually very noticeable and they don't show one of the twins faces, aha. the main plot of the show tends to revolve around their differences - maddie is the sporty, jock twin, liv is the popular famous 'girly' sister (known as the "pretty one"). the first episode starts with liv returning to her hometown from hollywood after filming a tv show/movie (can't quite remember which) and they basically used to be really close but struggle to fall back into their rhythm because it's been so long since they've lived together. they often clash bc their interests are so different but they're still best friends despite it. one of the main themes of the show that they quote several times is "sisters by chance, friends by choice". it's also worth mentioning, as it got featured in the last clip, the show is done in a mockumentary style with little cut away confessional segments like in the office/parks and rec, where the characters give their internal thoughts. in universe, it's a reality show based around liv's home and family life however this is never revealed until the finale, so for four seasons no one acknowedges the camera crew or anything about the confessionals.

Despite the show itself being a bit cringe sometimes, it has some of the best music on Disney Channel by far in my personal opinion. The songs I would recommend are a million hits, not a love song, you can come to me, I think about you, two in a million, parachute, finally me, steal your heart, don't look down, and redial. The context for True Love just kills me everytime I remember it: so yeah, they both have mutual feelings, but Liv (Dove) was afraid of confessing, so when she finally prepared to tell him, her friend - who didn't know about Liv's feelings - asked him out first bc she liked him too. Liv regrets being too late and sings that song at the prom, and it's implied that he realises it's for him. He also likes her, but didn't know it was mutual either when her friend asked him out - that's why he didn't reject to date -, and now regrets it too. Neither of them wants to hurt their friend - still not aware of this whole situation -, so they decide to keep their feelings a secret and stay as friends. Their love story develops later on, getting happier, then heartbreaking, then bittersweet, then hopeful😂

I think it is not as known as Hannah Montana though because it was around when Disney Channel hype started to die down.
