Great timeline and review, thanks for doing this. We have similar tastes in music. ELP has been my favorite band since I saw them live in the 70s. I was also fortunate enough to see Keith with Greg play much more recently just shortly before their deaths, and I was at the moving and mind-blowing memorial concert for Keith. I have many favorites, but of course Trilogy, Tarkus, Take a Pebble, Fanfare.., Pirates, Hoedown, Knife-Edge, Karn Evil 9, on and on. Also love Keith's piano concerto. And, sure, all of the radio-friendly songs are wonderful, but I am always sad when those are all people listen to for reviews... well. C'est la Vie! (see what I did there..)

I see what you did there, and thanks for the response. I would have loved to have seen them live in the 70s. I have seen some of those concerts on KZbin and they are raw and wonderful. We (my wife and I) lucked out and saw Keith and Greg at the Hilton in Las Vegas in 2010. We saw tons of shows during that week--our 20th wedding anniversary--and renewed our vows with Elvis (or a facsimile thereof). Fun times.

Thanks for the comment. In this playlist, I try to pick songs that are more obscure to widen our audiences exposure to music I have found interesting--and provide some background on why I find them interesting and how I discovered them. I don't think I've ever heard this on the radio--and I've only seen one live performance video of the suite--so the stars had to align for me to come upon it. If you don't mind, can you share how the song came to you?
