"Ideally you would want to place the pasture on fertile ground" I would argue against this, in fact I would even say the opposite, pastures get the same output per person* regardless of fertility, they just need to be made bigger, you can test this, make 2 pastures, one on high fertility and one on low fertility, both will for example need 11 people at the exact same production, but the second one will be larger, this is actually a good thing as manpower is a much bigger problem than space in the early mid game, this mechanic means you can use huge otherwise useless low fertility open space to get massive amounts of meat/leather etc, and save the high fertility spots for crops.

Very interesting approach! I never thought about going for nurseries early but it makes sense. Avoids immigration penalties and whatnot. I just finished my first failed city at 300 population (I stagnated too hard and spread my workforce too thin and I couldn’t grow any further), and I was looking for a new and recent guide for how to play humans for some clues on how to start my second run. Thanks for the video and I hope you continue to make more!

One of the few times KZbin recommendations has worked was to offer up the video you did with Oshan Man with the colab series and it has REALLY helped me picking up this game again, managed first 200 town, so looking forward to this series to maybe get up to 1k population finally. The most important lesson I learnt is: Don't produce everything yourself. Just sill stuff that's worth something and import cheap raw materials.

In my gameplay, they were repairing the dirt road under my warehouse, so I prefer to destroy the dirt road before construct something in the place.

When you start a new colony does it matter what other nations and species surround you or is it fine no matter what?

Deep meta, yes, but really? No. As humans most races like you so you're fine, so obviously settling as Donds in south near like tilapi/garthimi they may have rivals more, but Still, you end up killing them anyways.

Hey Fiend have you encountered what seems to be a bug where pastures dont collect livestock? I keep getting stonewalled. My pasture is close to a herd, its the right type of pature and has plenty of workers....

How do you unlock the various Titles? These offer huge boosts.

Most are undefined but simply playing the game you unlock some, like hitting a specific population helps. Having argonosh/cantors gives some, etc.
