Some of my favorite Creek shows were at the Agora Ballroom in Hartford. Some serious freaking good times !!!! God Bless Max Creek and the Grateful Dead 👍👍

Creek has been laying down Dead tunes proper for decades. One of my favorites was the free show they did a day or two after Jerry passed. So healing!

5 Stars. Scott has been playing Grateful Dead for 40+ years - amnd he's damn good at it. Kudos to Scott and the guys for keeping the jam alive!

+Jonathan Reisbaum Not surprising that they were one of the acts that totally brought the Dead jam vibe into this project! Love all of the original acts but also love the reference to a total Dead show jam! Well done!

One of two songs from the series that I come back to over and over and over again. These guys are absolute masters of “space.” The singing may be a little rough around the edges but who listens to jam bands for the perfect singing (see The Grateful Dead and Phish for example). What a superb rendition of a Dead workhorse!
@guywoodhouse46843 жыл бұрын
au contraire...the GD have great vocals...phish just sucks and should never be mentioned in the same breath as GD. phish copied these guys.

Just sayin' But beautiful to know that they did this.) But that night was freakin' awesome when they DID let us in. A memory to last for me....

It's not made clear here, but the "Bob" referred to at the beginning of the video is not Bob Weir, but rather Bob Gosselin, Creek's first drummer.

I love these guys. Wondering if anyone has a link to the album "Windows". Can't find it on youtube or vimeo! I have a physical copy of the album, but I want to share the sound with distant friends. Dying to listen to "Band from Chicago".

+Tim Lazar Are you talking about the Grateful Dead? :)
@timlazar28219 жыл бұрын
+Connor Boushell of course not, I'm talking about the singer for Max Creek.
@connorboushell22959 жыл бұрын
It was a joke. Sorry. Huge Deadhead here, but I love it when people say they like covers of GD songs but hate the vocals...go back and listen to the tapes. The Dead vocals are embarrassingly bad and were frequently mocked by non (delusional) Deadheads.
@timlazar28219 жыл бұрын
Connor Boushell I actually liked a lot of the vocal harmonies. Uncle John's Band, for example. pathfinder55 explorer I don't play baseball, but I can still recognize a bad defensive play when I see one.
@gagaface266 жыл бұрын
Tim Lazar I agree, haha. I was floored by the musical ability of the guitarist, not at all impressed with the vocals. I’ve seen their keyboardist play with a band i frequent locally, Desert Rain, and it was the same story. Poor vocals but absolutely insane playing. I don’t mind all too much, it’s the music that matters.
