Memory lane. 3 beautiful nights at Tinley Park. Watching Brent 33 years ago still brings tears. RIP Brent Midland. No more Heroin demons

Addiction is a symptom of PTSD. Most PTSD in America is from child abuse. The demons weren't from the heroin. The heroin calms them.

I was not there but this was my error and I had seen the Dead about four times prior to the show for their summer tour what makes this song right here so special to me in my heart is this is the very last song Brent mydland ever performed live before he sadly passed away

Thanks for sharing this. I was there. I'd just discovered The Last Waltz and was obsessed with this song. Was psyched to see the Dead play it. So painful to learn of Brent's death two days later while the music was still ringing in my ears. RIP

I almost got run over by the caravan of vans and limos carrying the band right after the show. They definitely beat the crowd out of the venue on their way to the airport.

PLEASE stop posting that he sang “I gotta go but my friends can stick around.” That isn’t what he sang, nor is the original. It goes “….my FRIEND can stick around.” Sorry if that isn’t cosmic enough for you, so you can tell yourself he knows he is about to die…
