8:18. I just love Renee Rapp’s opt up to G5 because it makes everything more sinister especially when she did it live!!!!. When she did it on Broadway she was doing it with an Evil Look so it added to the “I’m now successful in making everyone feel pain and hurt” type of Atmosphere. The other regina George just sustains the original note which is an E5 but Renee adding the G5 was just a gift!!!! 😁😁😁😁😁. Amazing reaction!!!!!

Renee sings differently on tiktok then Broadway because her character is supposed to have a specific voice. When she plays Regina, she’s not using her real voice, she’s tweaking her voice to fit her character.

I like how shocked you looked when they said all of the “means stuff.” For a little context Regina is printing of pages from the burn book (the book that all the plastics write mean things about everyone I’m their school in). Regina writes something about herself though so when she shows it to the principle she doesn’t get in trouble. Then she prints them all out shows it to the principle and throws the pages around the school. Everyone goes crazy, which is what she want (the world to burn). Anyways because she put something about herself and everyone else in the school, the only people not in it are the other 2 plastics an Cady. So Cady takes the blame. So Regina is a horrible person, but phenomenal singer! 😂 Hope that makes sense...

Yeah, they changed it from Regina writing "fugly slut" to "fugly cow" to make the lyrics rhyme. I haven't seen this version (only some individual scenes), but I remember the original, and I think it was funny how she was fake-crying in the scene where she turns it in to the school, because the Burn Book was "so mean".

I mean, a lot of people look at it and go “oh wow that was awesome!” but since I know enough about vocal history I was so shook. I have a friend who’s a voice coach purely for musicals + tv and I kid you not she fell out of her chair.
