Happy to hear that! That's exactly what I wanna achieve with these videos - people appreciating the work going into the tracks as well as understanding some of the "magic". For some reason a lot of people think writing and producing songs is "magic"- but at the end of the day it is a skill and great songs are the result of hours of dedicated work by - these days usual multiple - people. Atm I don’t think I’m going to do reactions to live versions for two reasons: 1. I mainly focus on breaking down production and songwriting aspects so there wouldn’t be much that I could add. 2. From what I’ve heard there’s issues with reacting to live stages since the Korean Broadcasting Stations are most likely going to block your video. Hopefully you can understand my reasons!

@Ray Ricci...We got your point and it makes us sad cuz EXO always makes it differently in their live performances, with different musical arrangements. Also, maybe you can also react to LDN Noise (most EXO's songs or SM Ent. producer) KCon where they explained the breakdown of EXO's songs; the instruments, the raw vocals and how they made it. But it's also okay if you cannot do it, just react to whatever you want and at your most convenient time. Thanks for doing some EXO stuff in your channel.

@Angel_fireflight Sy I‘ve checked their breakdown video for Gravity - which was extremely interesting! Don’t get me wrong I‘ll definitely check out more exo songs - I saw that there’s also a Breakdown video for Forever and Damage - so I‘m thinking about making a reaction for those and then checking out the LDN video right afterwards (so both in one video). I‘m definitely going to check out „going crazy“ since that’s the song most people wanted me to check out. I‘m also planning on making a „How to Kpop“ - series in which i write a song in the style of a certain group/artist. Atm I‘m planning to do a video about Taemin/SuperM and RedVelvet - but I‘m currently thinking about also making an EXO Video. I can’t promise anything atm since I‘m not sure yet whether I can write a song in that style - and I kinda need to make sure that I don’t ruin everything with my vocals xD .... It’s definitely gonna take a while until I‘ll be able to do that video series since it‘s quite time expensive to write and produce a song and then make video about it. But I definitely wanna do it and that’s also one of the reasons why I only want to react to a few songs and not to live versions (and also the other reasons I mentioned). I love doing reactions and I‘m extremely thankful that you guys are enjoying them so much but I also love creating music myself and my time unfortunately is quite limited so I need to make sure that I find a good balance longterm :-).

haha yes! this song SLAPS i was wondering as someone who doesn't have much musical production knowledge, how does one tell e-guitars/basses/drums apart from the real ones?

Not really an expert on those things since I don’t play drums or guitars myself, but there‘s certain elements like for example guitar/bass slides, that usually are really hard to replicate with virtual instruments. For drums you have the classic „drum machine sounds“ which sound very artificial in comparison to real drums - which is also intentional in many cases because it’s more interesting. Other than that in some cases you have certain patterns played by the instruments which would be really hard or almost impossible to play in reality. In some cases you can also notice it by listening to the velocity (how hard each note is played/hit) - if the velocity is consistent throughout the pattern it most likely is virtual, since a real Human would never be able to hit the drums or the strings on the guitar the same every time (but most programs also have a feature called „Humanize“, which allows you to avoid that from happening, by randomizing the velocities on each note ). However these days it gets harder and harder to distinct virtual from non virtual instruments since the virtual instruments get better and better. It‘s also really hard to find out whether (in case it is a real instrument) they used a sample or actually played it by themselves.

I’m not sure whether I want or will be reacting to any live stages since their are some copyright issues with the Korean broadcasting station (so there’s a high chance your video gets blocked). I also don’t know whether my reaction would be valuable since I am focusing mainly on the music aspects and I’m not sure what I would have to add when reacting to a live stage.
