I don't usually comment when watching a reaction video but since it's Mamamoo, I can't help but comment. First of, thank you for reacting to this four talented woman and since your going to check them out, I hope you start with their introduction guide to know more of the member and what they can do. There's an updated introduction guide to Mamamoo 2022 by Moo yt it's part 1:members and part 2 about their music, these one is better because you can see a clip of their solo stuff. There is also the one by purple hawke 2019 there's also part 1&2 their though it's about members only and shows most of their personalities. In MV you should definitely check out their older stuff; Debut song: Mr. Ambiguous, then piano man or their 4s4c Starry night, Egotistic, Wind Flower and Gogobebe. If your into ballad there's also Where are we now You should also check their live performance like Immortal songs medley and i miss you live the one on queendom, because they're more amazing live. There's a lot to say about them but I'm sure others will tell you when your getting more into them. Also Welcome to the Radish Fam, the more you dive into the rabbit hole the more that you will love them more😊 Also fun fact: they don't lip sync, they tried it 2 times. The 1st one they screwed up mmm word not mine, the 2nd one they don't have a choice and they apologize for it. We're the only fandom that's proud of them when they in lip sync and nailed it😅😂

Mamamoo debuted in 2014 and from then to the present they have stood out mainly for their voices and their way of being themselves in front of and behind the cameras, the four of them are extremely talented to the point that in Korea they are highly respected as artists and not as idols anymore. that it has always been said that it seems that there are four soloists collaborating, and in fact they all have successful solo careers. If what you are looking for is a different GG in the world of Kpop Mamamoo is your group, these women are not afraid to speak up and always say what they think at any time, they are well known for their incredible live performances as they usually sound better in I live than recorded music, not for nothing they have the title of the vocal queens in the industry, even the rapper Moon Byul sings excellent. They have complete creative freedom over their work since they write, compose and even produce in most of their songs, as well as they have done some of their choreography and decide what clothes they want to wear and what not. When it comes to concepts, they don't have a fixed one as they have gone through a tremendous amount of musical concepts and genres like r&b, jass, retro, ballads, hip hop and many more, you never know what to expect from their songs. They also love to empower people especially women and they also openly support the LGBTIQ+ community as they have videos where they include same-sex love and recently Moonbyul released a song that was very explicit about sex between two women. As for their personalities, they are all quite different and with strong characters, however they fit very well, these girls adore each other and treat each other as family, to the point that they themselves have said that they were destined to meet even if they had not met. turned into a group and on the other hand they are very simple and down to earth, besides being one of the craziest and funniest groups, seriously they are super fun, they are always noisy crazy people who spend their time laughing and making disasters wherever they are, they are even famous for that, everyone knows that Mamamoo is a group that will always have a good time anywhere no matter where they are, they are quite uncontrollable, they do not like being told what to do to the point that even their company cannot control them, that is if they are super workers since they were the first group of their company and it was bankrupt which made them start with nothing and with their talent and effort today they are one of the s most famous and respected groups in Korea. You got it. Generally known as the vocal queens of kpop girl groups with charismatic personalities, extreme versatility and an extremely diverse discography. As any moomoo (Mamamoo fan) will tell you they're best live because of their amazing, always live vocals, riveting stage presence and bff chemistry but by all means check out some of their MVs. They've been around since 2014 so there are dozens of group and solo MVs and literally hundreds of hours of live performances available. Moomoos will be happy to provide recommendations or pick anything that strikes your fancy - not every song may be to your taste but there's something for everyone and they always deliver the goods. They also stand out in an industry mostly known for developing outstanding performers as a group who is creatively involved in all aspects of their career from songwriting, vocal arrangements and choreography to styling and MV concepts. They're much more than excellent singers and dancers with pretty faces - they're a multi-talented all star team and each member also has a successful solo career. Great reaction! I became a Moomoo (that’s the name for a Mamamoo fan) first by watching a bunch of behind-the-scenes edits, where I fell in love with their hilarious genius energy, and then by watching this Killing Voice video, where I was absolutely blown away by their vocals. I must have watched it on repeat for about a week. It’s a good intro to ten of their songs with a wide range of styles, as you commented. They almost always stand jn the same order. From left to right: Moonbyul, Solar, Wheein, Hwasa. A bit of info about each of them: Moonbyul trained as a vocalist, but was forced by the company to learn rapping in order to be allowed to debut. She had no interest in rap, but decided to change her attitude and adapt to being a rapper. She writes almost all of her raps, which is why she is now the female most-credited lyricist in Korea. Her vocalist training gives her the ability to traverse the spectrum from a very spoken style to an almost melodic style, and she nails it always and makes it suit the song. When Mamamoo used to appear on the show Immortal Songs and perform covers of famous Korean songs (they appeared 14 times), Moonbyul would write brand new rap verses for the songs, and somehow make them fit the pre-existing song perfectly. My favourite is probably her rap for the Korean version of the Tom Jones song Delilah. Solar is the oldest, and the leader of the group. She went to college to prepare for a career as a flight attendant, but one day did a street karaoke challenge to win a prize. There was a company rep who encouraged her to audition. So she did. She failed about 40 times, in many cases because she was considered too old, and her family started to discourage her from trying to be a singer. She decided she’d try one more time, and this time was successful. As a singer, she has an exceptionally powerful voice and lung capacity, and she can open her mouth so wide that it scared Wheein one time. She took her name from the notes Sol-La in the scale, because she would usually do the high harmonies. Recently she took the title role in a musical about Mata Hari, and was very well received. Wheein and Hwasa became best friends starting on the first day of middle school, in the town of Jeonju (there is now a mural of them in that town). I recommend watching Hwasa’s cover of City of Stars, where she chose a photo of the two of them as the background, and also watch the MV of My Hometown, to see their beautiful bff dynamic. They went to karaoke together, dreaming together of moving to Seoul to become singers. At the age of 15 or 16, they took the risk and left their hometown to pursue that dream in the big city. They went to many auditions together. At some point Wheein was due to debut in a different group, with Moonbyul as leader, but that fell through. Eventually their destiny came true as they debuted in Mamamoo together. Wheein has a beautiful honey voice, and in the early years was probably the most fluent and agile of all of them, both as a vocalist and a dancer. She is my bias, although of course I love all four of them hugely. She is expressive and creative and hilarious behind the scenes. She is perhaps the one who has changed the most, personality-wise. In the early years, she was very open and happy on stage, from which she drew the energy to be incredibly charismatic as a performer. Then she ran into some difficulties that were not her fault, and had a pretty tough time. In 2021 she chose not to renew her contract with RBW, but instead signed with a new agency called The L1ve, as a solo artist, but also had a mutually agreed contract to continue Mamamoo activities with RBW. Since then, I think she has blossomed into a more mature version of her joyful younger self. She has a charming KZbin channel, and she seems happier as each month goes by. Her singing style is very much in demand for OSTs for K-dramas. Hwasa is one of the strongest people you could imagine. She went through many challenges as she grew up, including cruel criticism of her looks even when she was a young teenager. She never gave up on herself, and continued to nurture her dream to become a singer. Most famously, she spoke of how she went home and cried all night after one such criticism, but then decided that if she could not meet this generations beauty standards in Korea, she would become her own new standard. And she did. She became Korea’s “it girl” and is now in demand as a model all over the world. Of the four members, she is the one who is maybe just a minute away from being a full-on global superstar. Her style and attitude and jazzy voice seem to be resonating with a global audience. Her song “Maria” has been a huge hit. But she is always loyal to Mamamoo wherever she goes. I personally think that once she goes global, she will bring Mamamoo with her, and everyone will realise how amazing all four of them are. Mamamoo as a group have vastly more female fans than male fans, at least in Korea. You can hear it by listening to the fanchants at some of their live stages. Many of their songs are about self love, and empowerment. All four of them were told, early on, that they did not have the “visuals” to be successful as a girl group (which is nonsense and unfair, but that’s what they were told), so they worked really hard on their singing and performance skills to make up for it. But also they remembered the unfairness, and have committed to bringing empowerment and encouragement and self-esteem boosting to their music. Songs like “Yes I Am” and “HIP” are very direct examples, but many of the love songs and break-up songs carry the message in a more subtle way. However sad the break-up, however manipulative the love interest, they always remember to value themselves first and not lose their identity in someone else. I think this is such an important message, and a big reason why many of us Moomoos find them so inspiring. All of them have lyrics credits and some composition credits, but it would not be accurate to say that they significantly write their own songs. The vast majority are written and composed by industry professionals, in RBW itself or engaged by RBW for the purpose. However, it is true that they have been encouraged from the start to be involved in the writing, composition, and production process. And each of them does have at least one or two very beautiful songs that they’ve written and composed themselves. Enjoy your journey! Your timing is perfect: there’s a new mini-album called “Mic On” just announced, with release date October 11. It’s their first full comeback since June 2021, not counting a (wonderful) retrospective re-recorded greatest hits double album in September 2021. In the intervening time, they have all been busy as solo artists. But now it’s time for the OT4 comeback. You’ll see people referencing an iconic line from the song “Décalcomanie”: “Mamamoo is coming back for you!” Yes, they are!!! I can’t wait.
