Sonic 2 Delta - Walkthrough

Sonic 2 Delta is a groundbreaking series of ROM hacks by famed Sonic scene member Esrael Neto, which restores several deleted levels and prototype elements to Sonic the Hedgehog 2 for the Sega Mega Drive / Genesis. Various features of Sonic 2 Delta, common across the series despite the existence of several versions/branches of the hack, include the use of art and music from the betas and Sonic the Hedgehog and re-implementation of badniks that had been removed from the final game. The level order of Sonic 2 Delta is also similar to the original intended order, rather than that used in the final version.
The main version of this hack is entitled Sonic 2 Delta and was based upon the Simon Wai prototype, before version 0.24 transferred the codebase to 'revision 2' of Sonic 2 from Sonic Compilation.

Cool Loser actually, if we really think about it GREEN HILL has appeared many times in Sonic 2's development. First is the garbage data Green Hill from the earliest known Sonic 2 Proto, then it was replaced by Emerald Hill but was still named Green Hill, and as you said Neo Green Hill later became Aquatic Ruin, but there is still one last green hill, Sonic the hedgehog 2 8bit has a zone called Green Hills Zone, a referance to the original Green Hill and even resembles it, soooooo Green Hill was a concept that SEGA really wanted in Sonic 2 lol

I think this hack should have some custom bosses: Wood Zone:Buzz-saw Eggman:What it does is simple.It does the same thing as Drill Eggman,except it has a big-ass buzz-saw on the front of it.Any small trees in the arena will be cut down as a method of attack.It also raises and lowers the buzz-saw to attack. Winter Hill Zone:Blizzard Eggman:It is basically Water Eggman,except it picks up snow and flings it into the air,causing snowflakes to come down pretty fast and damage Sonic. Dust Hill Zone:Sandstorm Eggman:It's basically Flying Eggman,except without the orbs and has a large fan on the front.It activates when it gets to the left or right of Sonic.The fan can blow Sonic back and it launches sand,damaging Sonic.Sonic also takes damage when walking into the fan while it's spinning. Some of these stages are ether from the beta, they were unused or have a diffrent name. Neo green hill zone (Aquatic ruins) has the same name as in the Sonic 2 beta. And some are from sonic 1 as well.

have a few issues with this one, too many same boss use in too many level's. the scripter that designed the extra level's could of done better than they did it looks as if he struggled to use imagination with the level set-up from the theme of the level's and hell the name of the level's too. the music quality was sketchy at point's in it, the music choice's for some of the extra levels that the creator of this altered version of a sonic game was of poor choice..... all in all a lot of things to poke at with flaw's but it is a attempt and it was entertaining to watch at the least with enough practice and work at it you will make something amazing. now as far as the claim's of "restoring the deleted level's" no... yes its the same textures as the deleted but it is not the same set up let alone the same music they wished to use for the deleted level's when they where in creation before being dropped but all in all good attempt to re-create them. that's my input from one sonic fan to another. wish you well who ever created this.
