@@Arlosadventures9025 We don't know that. Regardless, it is a 'bad' ending as Tails is either imprisoned or dead, unless you do a bunch of mental gymnastics with the good ending to override a bad-ending with headcannon.

This was in the game gear version, which is BEFORE the genesis release of the game. At the time, it was possible. And even if not, there were also the chaos emeralds Eggman could've used on Tails.
