common misconception actually. any genesis cartridge that’s not sonic 2 or 3 gets you blue sphere. however, the level it gives you upon startup is pre-determined depending on which game is on top. sonic 1 starts you off at the first blue sphere level.

AIR: Built off the original S3K code for Genesis, all functions rewritten and modified to work on computers CPUs natively. Basically a huge mod of the original S3K, if the definition is heavily understated. Origins: a whole collection of the previously done mobile remakes of the first 3 mainline genesis sonic games (Sonic 1, CD, 2) and Sonic 3 and Knuckles. Sonic 3K in this collection was built from the ground up with Sonic Mania's engine (RSDKv5) like the previous mobile remakes (although they were made in RSDKv4). This: A fanmade RSDKv4 mod remaking S3K based off the 2014 concept released by CW and Stealth.

Yes and no. You see, the retro engine checks for what device you play a game on. If you play it on pc and console, you get the normal HUD reminiscent of the Mega Drive games. If you play on mobile, you get the HUD that goes in the right upper corner.
