Who would have thought that the musical samples of the arcade version of Super Street Fighter 2: The New Challengers and the Special Stage BGM from Sonic the Hedgehog 3 would fuse together so well? My favorite classic Sonic special stage theme. I'm probably biased though; S3K is one of my favorite games of all time. I love the bass in this remix; makes it sound like it legitimately came out of Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo. Everything else is solid as usual. Great stuff. Another one to the favorites playlist :P

That specific synth bass being used has been present in Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo (1993), Darkstalkers (1994) and Night Warriors: Darkstalkers' Revenge (1995) , X-Men: Children of the Atom (1994), and Marvel Super Heroes (1995). Side note: Vampire Savior had a different type of synth bass though and both Darkstalkers and Night Warriors had 2 synth basses that differ from each other.

CPS means Capcom Play System and was the type of aracde boards they used to produce back in the day. The soundfont here is from the CPS-2 board which was used with a gross amount of games most notably Street Fighter II.

@@AgentSpinhead: Honestly, while I think Capcom did a piss-poor job on the soundtrack of the Genesis/Mega Drive port of Super Street Fighter 2: The New Challengers, I can't help but to agree with you beyond that. Sega and Capcom were on-and-off business partners from 1989 to the company's discontinuation of the Dreamcast and turn to a third-party developer and publisher in 2001.
