Sonic 4 Cybernetic Outbreak is a WIP hack of Sonic 3 & Knuckles ported to SEGA 32x by Varion Icaria.
Mecha is the main antagonist of the game, Hence Cybernetic Outbreak. This is the Story on how Mecha goes for Revenge after the S3K events. This hack is more or less a continuation of where S3K left off.

Dude, you and I think alike. I have the idea of Mecha getting revenge, and brutal bossfights like this for years. While my idea had Tails, Mighty, and Knuckles as other characters, with their own shield moves, and routes, and their classic designs, yours seems to make my ideas for bossfights seem far too tame. This basically made a dream come true for me.

I managed to be the boss at the final boss, checked the level select for any playable levels here's what I got. From first to last. 1) Radon Factory (Silver Sonic's area) 2) Metal Star (Mecha Sonic 2.0's area) 3)Ascension Chaos (S3K Mecha Sonic's area) Wait, WHAT?! Hold up, first Mecha Sonic 2.0, then 1.0 (S3k)?! No no, no. It should be... 1) Ascension Chaos 2) Radon Factory 3) Death Metal There we go!

Oh, and another thing, I checked the character selection, either all of them we're Sonic, or all of them didn't work. But one of them was Sonic, with Yellow Hair Highlights, yes. Eventually, that character would crash the game.

@@Elec.Balloon Yeah, I am not surprised. Developer of this hack seemed to strip out or gimp anything that we're not suppose to see. A good example being Debug Mode, Super Sonic, and getting more than 100 rings. The first two things I mentioned either crash the game or the emulator itself, while the last thing I mentioned results in huge slowdown. Heck, playing certain sounds in sound test completely breaks the audio.

Everything works fine until the first level loads in. Everything except the ground and ring is invisible. Shortly after the game crashes with an Illegal Instruction that only shows for a few seconds before flickering and vanishing completely. EDIT: OK, I got past that stupid error by adding in a BIOS file. Also, while playing around with Game Genie, I discovered quite a lot of interesting stuff, the first thing being that Debug Mode is still present, but highly unstable/glitchy. Object placement still works normally, but the sprite preview is completely gone, and attempting to break monitors placed results in either the game crashing or the emulator itself crashing. Going over 100 rings also causes incredible slowdown. Super Sonic is also very glitchy(uses the normal color scheme, sprites, and crashes when certain sprites attempt to load). Unused theme also plays when you are in the broken Super Sonic form. Another thing I noticed is that hitting bosses after they have been killed can result in a crash. Any of the crashes also require you to "Power Off" the game, because Soft Reset and Hard Reset go to a black screen.

As far as I know, it is still being worked on, but is currently private. They seemed to have start over from a better S3&K port since many of the previous bugs that plagued the demo seem to be gone.

I tried playing this on Kega Fusion last night but Sonic and Mecha Sonic were invisible for some reason so it was impossible for me. Looking good though! The custom sprites and boss battles look crazy as hell. I can't wait to see how the Metal Sonic Kai battle goes down, since he's in the title screen he's most likely going to be Mecha Sonic's final form.

Help. It softlocks on me every time he summons his ring of black rings in Hyper form, because AI goes haywire and forgets to summon enough rings, and thus doesn't even know what to do, so he just stands there. *Menacingly* . And that's on the old Gens 1.7. On gens 2.14 it crashes radomly on his super form - the game just freezes.

I got a good hack idea In the hack mario and sonic have a bet to see who can survive each others games the longest this could be multiple hack btw it starts like this super mario bros = sonic 1 Super Mario Bros 2 (USA) = sonic 2 Super Mario Bros 3 = sonic 3 Super Mario world = sonic and knuckles super mario 64 = sonic adventure but the charachters physics will stay the same in each world so it would be like sonic 1 physics in super mario bros cool idea right:)
