I won’t be mad if the trailer doesn’t release next week but I found something that no one is talking about. Sonic movie 1 will be releasing on Netflix in America for the first time on September 1st. Netflix has done this numerous times before a sequel releases to get streaming views (Top Gun Maverick). If Netflix randomly added Sonic move 1 without a trailer coming soon it wouldn’t get any attention. From a marketing and money make standpoint, the dates all line up.

You obviously don't know this yet, but X being in Japanese titles can usually be pronounced as "cross" mostly meaning "crossover." So that upcoming game title is (when fully translated into English) Sonic cross Shadow Generations, and the Japanese title name for the third movie being Sonic cross Shadow: mission Tokyo. Lots of what I've been hearing online about this rumor of the first trailer releasing on tuesday has been making me think that this isn't a lie and that we very likely will get the first trailer on that day because a lot of the reasons that I've learned do make some sense!
