Thank you! Finally got that A Rank. Also here’s a tip for anyone else who may attempt this in the future: If you mess up at all, just die, you’ll go back to your last checkpoint. In this mission, only time matters, not score.

It's actually faster to die right after using Mystical Melody, because their effects stay activated. It's fastest to do the time-stop glitch altogether though.

Eh...i view the lost chao missions as fluff. I don't hate them but they just exist to me. The 100 ring missions can die tho. And don't get me started on the "don't hit the walls" kart missions.

Guys, during the Light Dash at the end, MAKE SURE YOU ARE HOLDING FORWARD. Otherwise you'll lose forward momentum as soon as you reach the top and just fall back down. Happened to me the first time I did this. Just let myself fall to respawn and after a couple more attempts (I Light Dashed from the wrong direction the second time 🤦‍♀️) I was able to get up there.

That reminds me... i still have 144 emblems collected on 1 of the Xbox accounts that i used for this game(base version, which means that i cant get all 180 emblems) However, i believes i have already did Mission 3 for this level, back in the summer of 2022 Which ALSO means that I don't plan to get all the A Ranks that ARE available. I might decide to do that one day, but for right now, I'm not working about my ranks (although, I did get all A ranks in some specific levels) Finally, to be more specific, im referring to ranks in the regular levels(which means that the car levels and the Chao Garden are off-limits for now)

I just tried this whole thing, the momentum stopped me from going all the way, next thing I know I freeze the time and spin dash like hell to get up there and it actually worked...

If you die and restart the section, you don't lose any time. The time will reset to whatever it was when you started Sonic's section, so as long as you get there with enough time to reach the Chao before 7:30, you'll get the A Rank.

I knew I was missing something but it may have been a glitch. I did everything right and Knuckles platforms never showed up at all! It's been so long playing this game ( got it on Xbox few months ago) and the only ones I can still get all A's on is the Treasure Hunter Stages.

One time I was playing through this mission on a newer save file. When I got to Knuckles’ section I realized I hadn’t gotten the mystic melody upgrade for him yet.

You can get up there with a very precise spin dash jump. Took like 20 tries but it's possible without using the ancient ruins

you have to use the mystic melody in Eggmans part it's right before the fall with the lazers and the artificial chaos.

and then rogues on one of the bottom doors that should be open once you activate eggmans melody. then that will activate the line of rings in sonics part.

You do not have to do the mystic melody parts. Glitch the game by freezing time forever as Sonic then spin dash and jump in the river that goes the wrong way to win!

idk why but at the end the rings to use the light speed dash didn't appear at all when i played this stage (i'll assume it's because i didn't use the mystic melodies with the other characters) so i just used the switchs to stop time,ran to the top and made the most precise spin dash jump of my life in order to get the chao

If you use the infinite time stop glitch, you can spin dash jump up to the area where the Chao is without Mystical Melody

If you're having trouble clearing the light dash like I did, start from behind the first ring, at the top of the slide, and hold down the action button and up on the joystick through the entire dash.

Missed the very last jump after the rings at 7:10 and couldn't die so I had to start ALL OVER -_- Not just the Sonic portion, nope, ALL OF IT. Needless to say I yeeted my controller across the room and gave up. 162 emblems is fine. Whatever. Thanks for the vid, though ♥

I never figured how to do this normally. I just got to Sonic's part (the orange river area, obviously), froze time and used the spin dash uphill and jump so I have the momentum to get up there. It was a pain, took many attempts and I died a lot but I did it... and somehow got a C rank, I expected an E rank.

DUUUUDE I tried it blind and got to the secret area with Eggman only to see you need his melody for it (which I never got) so I had to go back to his sand ocean stage to find it and come back and work to that point thinking I just had to use the melody and it would open up some section leading straight to the chao. When it only gave me that item box I naturally thought “oh great so that’s not how you find it, of course they want me to play more of the level” but that’s when I got lazy and looked up a video. Here I am and my dumbass doesn’t watch the whole vid or read any comments, just skips to the end to know the location in Sonic’s portion. Cool, make it to the top of that giant slide and light dash across the rings and that’ll land you straight on the path to the chao. Only I didn’t know you HAVE TO PLAY THE MELODY TO GET THE RINGS TO APPEAR 😭 for some reason it didn’t click that the rings had that unique shine, and now I’m starting it over AGAIN to get it right… fuck this level lmao Edit: nope just realized I have to play THREE mystic melodies for this… fuck this level triply
