Sonic Adventure 2: Metal Harbor Mission #1 - A Rank

Here is the first mission of Metal Harbor.
This is a pretty damn hard mission to get an A in besides getting a perfect in coins (which is currently impossible without Sonic's bounce bracelet upgrade.)
What's needed to get an A rank:
* At least 170 coins.
* Launching from the top of the rocket.
* Destroying virtually every enemy.
* The gold robot.
* A fast time.
Score needed for A rank: 20000

Sonic Adventure 2 at its core sonic gameplay is really fun in my opinion. This level is a good example of where this game shines.

getting to the top is a pain in the ass

This is slightly easier with the bounce upgrade once you have it. You can chain enemy attacks and immediately go into a bounce. Keep bouncing until you find another enemy and homing attack those as well. This can be used for several enemies throughout this level to get extra points and an easier A rank.

M E Just popped it in to check, I have 132/180. I was trying to do all sonic, then shadow, tails, eggman, knuckles, rouge in that order. That way I don’t get too use to a playstyle then swap out.

I just completed with A rank however I was able to do it with 148 coins and only .5 seconds left on missile launch with ending score of 20270

I got it with 00:06 seconds left and a score of 20,070 💀 Meanwhile I missed the A on Final Rush by only 30 points (that's literally 3 rings)... so I guess now I'm even 🤷‍♀️

Every zone in this game (except Cannon’s Core and the Chao Gardens) has a power-up item. The power-up items needed to complete each story always show up first. You obviously can’t complete the Hero Story without Sonic’s Light Shoes because those help Sonic stay out of danger by giving him the ability to do “Light Dash” by collecting rings that float in the air.

In this game points are more important than time in missions 1, 4 and 5. Missions 2 and 3 are time-based.

I use the steam version which is basically the ps3 version ported to pc and this doesn't happen
