Tails talking to Kit was probably the best way to approach Kit’s whole situation. I know people weren’t too thrilled with that part of the issue, but it goes to show that the writers really are paying attention to their characters and playing the long game when it comes to their story.

This is absolutely gut wrenching to consider the ramifications of, those two don't even have a *real reason* to hate Sonic and Tails. They were brainwashed, and sadly they likely will never learn why these two hate them cause brainwashed people are never self aware of being brainwashed and why would Starline reveal what they've done? (I hope I'm wrong though, I've not read the comics so maybe he was brought to justice and fessed up after all)

As of now, he's six feet under, and will likely go into hiding because it's a comic, and comic characters never die. Besides, you think that after spending all that time and money off of making starline centric stories, they'd keep him a bit longer, so don't think he'd be that easy to erase

@@_G.C There’s a chance Starline may be back. He always emphasized having a contingency plan, unlike Eggman. He keeps tabs on weaknesses, and other information to exploit on his foes and friends alike. But Eggman, as Starline said, never accounts for the long term. Who’s to say Starline didn’t create a “kill switch” to off Surge and Kit permanently after nearly dying and being betrayed by them? Starline could’ve learned from Eggman: never leave loose ends uncut.

I thought Surge told Sonic that she hates him because his pacifist mentality is likely what led to her and Kit being brainwashed. They did see the tapes of their progress from ordinary teens to evil doppelgangers

I love how Sonic treats her, to some extent, like a monster of the week type enemy. “Yeah I’ve heard all of this before and I’ll convince you otherwise.” Before he realizes it’s worse than he thought and resets. It kinda shows what Surge means with the cycle he’s compliant in while also showing that Sonic has the mind to reassess and tackle things case by case when he changes course. Sonic hits his opponent with experience and strength, Tails hits his opponent with compassion and smarts which are well catered for their opponents even if they need to adjust here and there as they receive more information.

These comics have been amazing. I wish these were available back in middle school instead of the archie ones. Surge and Kit are actually very interesting antagonists that have some valid points about the heroes and villains their world. The Metal Virus saga ended kind of abruptly and ever since then there seems to be very minor arcs in comparison. I think they've introduced a lot of great characters and I hope they'll continue to do that.
