Just dropping by to say that Spencer Brown is right. The majority of this is fine, but there are a few sections in the lead line that are near impossible to play in context, save for professional trombonists and much practice. If you’re looking at all these egotistical comments saying “it’s super easy, I’m in 9th grade and I can play it!” and feeling bad because you can’t, know that they’re almost certainly lying. Y’all need to stop gatekeeping music by lying about the ease of music and belittling those who are honest about their abilities.

@@meihem2809 It’s really not consistently doable. There are a number of sections that are either written poorly or are just not feasible for trombone - for instance, measure 58. I’m confident you can’t play that, in time, consistently. The arpeggio section is also questionable. Doable, maybe, but most professionals wouldn’t want to play that.

No, most people can't play it. Yes, it is possible.
@gingersroc5 жыл бұрын
it's pretty groovy, and I like what you're going for, but this is not playable on multiple levels. I'll start with the obvious: the 1st trombone part at one part is simply too high. No trombone player can play that whether or not the computer can. Then there is the 2nd tuba part, which...... just looks like you put commands into the computer. Something to note about brass instruments and brass musicians in case you care to improve on your compositional skills: it is VERY difficult to play octaves at fast tempos, or in this case even eighths at a tempo of 120 bpm. It is also ESPECIALLY difficult for a tuba player to play octaves quickly because tuba is a very difficult instrument to play speedy rhythms. Tuba is difficult in general. However, aside from the segments where is looks like a turkey ran across your keyboard, it's an okay composition
@MiniRunaway5 жыл бұрын
I'm aware of what you're getting at, but if you haven't already, I'd recommend taking a look at the video linked in the description. I heavily based the arrangement off of that, and while the playability of this piece wasn't really considered, I can't imagine many others could replicate what inspired it either. As for the octave jumps in the tuba line though, they're not as difficult as you seem to imply, depending on the context, of course. I wouldn't expect high schoolers to pick this up (despite other comments I've read), but any decent college level musician or anyone willing to practice a bit should be able to grab a hold of that without too much difficulty.
