For those wondering why he isn't playing the PC remake,Sonic's physics differ slightly (Sonic's fall speed has a limit,and he has little to no rolling friction in Remake) Also in the CD/Win95 version,an exclusive glitch that allows Sonic to phase into the wall while doing a Super Peelout isn't in the remake as well

I found the game was cool with the original soundtrack the first time then played a few months later with the NA soundtrack and now I'm just in love with the game!

Love both the JP and US soundtracks for this game. My copy for the PC came with a Ost CD that included all of the tracks and a customizable screensaver

I learned this from reading the notes on a TAS that clocks in at slightly over 17 minutes RTA, but there's actually a frame rule on the in-game timer. The internal clock times in frames and converts to 1/100 seconds for display, so Palmtree Panic 1 internally was timed at 1394 frames (23 seconds, 14 frames) and it came out as 23.23

Andrew Shaw 1. If your talking about the occasional stops, it's because he sometimes pauses to do difficult tricks. If your talking about the frame rate then idk. 2. Sonic games work a bit differently than most games, as the bonuses at the end of the stage take actual time to add up, so it would actually be faster to go slower, which is a bit retarded. Instead, the runners add up the time in the levels and that's the time they get, not real time.

Because the characters move in a 3 dimensional space he'd never be comfortable using a control mode better suited for the old 2D style of movement. He'd never feel content that his movement during runs would be acceptable.

"any%" means to beat the game with any % of it complete. Meaning you can beat it with all the rings or no rings. All that matters is beating the game not collecting everything on the way.

Daniel Sanchez These kinds of glitches tend to be difficult to learn and to pull of consistently so I don't think it's really unskilled to use them. If you don't want glitches in speedruns search for glitchless ones.

Thanks for your opinion, but I insist. There exist an actual stage you have to get through. But then I use some glitches and I attribute myself to have fastest speedrun record and I don't even played through the stage. I beat a world record from Sonic Unleashed, and it was with "blood and sweat". That's called competence. But you are right. I should search for speedruns which were executed with real skills lol
