This is a really good remix to fit in a Bad Future Chemical Plant more than a Past Chemical Plant. Take Metallic Madness, which has a past that shows that even though the factory is being built, there's still hope to stop it.

Imagine a sonic game using a similar time travel mechanic to cd but with a few differences. Example: Each zone would have a prehistoric and futuristic version. In the prehistoric version instead of badnicks you’d have prehistoric wild life like therapsids, dinosaurs and ancient mammals as enemies. The futuristic version would have mutated plants and animals and more advanced versions of present day badnicks.
