Sonic Colors - Super Sonic!!!

Super Sonic playable in stages is the reward you'll get for collecting 180 red rings and all 7 chaos emeralds. I seem to get this question alot so here is the steps on how to unlock Super Sonic:
1) You have to find EVERY red ring hidden in the stages. Collect all 180 red rings to unlock all the acts in the Sonic Simulator.
2) There is 3 acts in each zone.
3) Complete all 3 acts in a zone earns you a chaos emerald.
4) Complete all 7 zones earns you 7 chaos emeralds = Super Sonic.

Q: Can Super Sonic use the wisp's powers?
A: No, Sonic can't use the wisp's powers when he's in his super form.
Q: How do I unlock Super Sonic?

Q: No, you can't use Super Sonic in boss battles, E.G.G Shuttle or the Sonic Simulator. You can only use him in the stages. :(

I love how Sonic Colors is generally slow due to limited boost, but Super Sonic gives you infinite boost. It just makes getting those red rings all the more special.

Super Sonic: you are invincible (god) unlimited boost AMAZING trick bonus ultimate speed (not 10x speed just 2x speed) high jump (you cant double jump) and if you touch an enemy hes dead thats all bonus power

Wow, thanks for this video. Though learning that you have to go through hell and back to complete everything in the game to unlock him makes it not really worth it. Thank god its easy to get Super Sonic in Generations.

@Roflmaokanker - No bosses can be defeated as Super Sonic is not allowed to be used, nor will any Game Land/Sonic Simulator stage allow Super Sonic to be used. On the other hand, using him in the normal stages makes it tougher for S-Ranks, because you get less score in terms of the fact that Colour Bonuses tend to give a lot more in a shorter amount of time (Especially Rocket!)

@darkhero12340 No, chaos emeralds are obtained by beating special stages. The cute guys are Wisps; they come from the glass cases and give sonic extra power ups.

Project SHADOW was made to create the ultimate lifeform, which based on the murals from the echidnas, long ago, which showed the fight between Super Sonic and Perfect Chaos, so the Biolizard was based on Perfect Chaos, and Shadow is based on Super Sonic. Hoped this helped.

the DS version is different. you need to beat the game and when you go back to the story, there'll be one more boss and you'll have to beat the boss as Super Sonic. i did read that collecting all the red rings in that version allows you to infinitely boost

Character abilities are often hindered so the game can present a challenge to the player (Like Spyro won't being able to fly or the limits of Silver's Psychokinesis.) If he can in Sonic Generations is because he can only do it with the gauge and in that game the gauge is not unlimited

Actually, in the majority of the games, Super Sonic's quills are all raised up. Shadow has quills that both point up and down.

My only gripe with Super Sonic in this game is that you have to obtain every red ring to get all the levels in the Sonic Simulator... So when you finally get Super Sonic there's no point to it... You've already played the levels to death looking for the red rings... One of the things I used to enjoy about the classic games like Sonic 2 and 3 and Knuckles was that you could acquire the Super form around the 3rd level if you were really good enough...

What would've made Super Sonic in this game better is if he had all the powers of the Wisps, like you use the L or R buttons (if using a GC controller) to select the Wisp you want and Super Sonic uses that wisps power but still in Super Sonic form.

I'm incredibly lazy with these red rings so I'm very happy that all it takes to get Super Sonic in Sonic Generations is to complete the main game. Don't get me wrong, concept art is interesting and all. I just don't want to spend all that time getting those red rings to get something that doesn't make the game more fun.

@IAmClearlyTheBest Actually that was hyper Sonic. Super Sonic first appeared in Sonic the Hedgehog 2 and therefore in pretty much all other games. hyper Sonic is supposed to be mightier and faster because he does not simply need the Chaos Emeralds but also the Super Emeralds.

Following up my last post... sorry I made a mistake. You get the chaos emeralds in the sonic sim THAT'S how you get super sonic, but... to unlock stages in the sonic sim you need the red rings. So you really have to do both.
