I agree that while it will be adorable to see Sonic developing a crush on Amy and vice-versa, I believe an actual romantic relationship may need time to develop over the course of other movies. A slow burn over the course of the franchise will feel more natural and better developed. ❤ Plus, Sonic and Amy are still pretty young, so they need time to grow as individuals and as friends before they take big step that comes with growth and maturity as they grow into adulthood.

I said this before,but I'd personally like to see the crush thing reversed,where instead Sonic immediately gets a crush on Amy after she saves him, and constantly flirts with her through the movie, but Amy either ignores him to focus on their mission, or just plays hard to get, but at the end she shows she likes him too. Or maybe he returns the favor and saves her, and then she falls for him too, and at the end they kiss, and maybe she moves in too. I can see Sonic begging for Tom to let him and Amy share a room/bed, since they treat them like kids.

In the past, there were SonAmy and Amy Rose haters that destroyed a lot of those fans, including mine. I used to be a fan of SonAmy and I still love shopping that couple, but that life was over until I moved to Miraculous Ladybug to get away from all the pain the haters put me through. In my theory, Sonic never met or seen his hedgehog kind all his life while living on Earth for over a decade. So maybe he might have feelings for her. That is if it becomes SonAmy vs ShadAmy. While seeing her take down all the Metal Sonic army, this counterpart is no damsel in distress this time. Like roles reversed. @there4you19 Maybe they could play a joke on the Amy running after Sonic gag in a more light-hearted and less obsessive way. Maybe it starts with her trying to find Sonic so he can fulfil his destiny as a hero of the universe as it was prophesied by her elders, and she tries to learn to catch up with him due to how fast he is. Maybe Amy chasing after Sonic could be a form of flirtatious banter between them, with Amy saying she's open to going on a date with Sonic, and Sonic agrees to take her on a date someday, but she has to try and catch him first. It shows that while they have this form of flirtatious banter between them, Sonic knows he and Amy have a lot of growing up to do, and he wants to know if Amy is willing to wait for him to be ready to date and that she won't rush him. While he doesn't expect Amy to be as fast as him, he definitely wants a girlfriend who is as adventurous and free-spirited as he is and is willing to fight, stand and of course *run* beside him every step of the way. I agree that I don't want them playing out Amy as the obsessive fan girl (at least not in the obsessive crush way) constantly chasing after Sonic while he runs away from her in annoyance, but I still think they can make fun of traits of the original character in a way that's cute and wholesome. Still, I hope they still keep Amy's adoration and love (both romantic and platonic) for Sonic in a more healthy and less obsessive way. I think they could also keep her enthusiasm, compassion, and her strong desire to desire to help others as part of her character. She's obviously more of a self-confident badass than her previous damsel in distress portrayal, but I hope they still keep her other more healthy traits that make her character so memorable. Amy's tough, feisty, and at times hot-tempered, but overall, she has a big heart and a desire to help others. She's also a big believer in love in all its forms, which is also a very special part of her character. Whatever the writers plan for Amy Rose in Sonic 4, I hope they truly flesh out her character in ways that the fans love her for, while also bringing something new and fresh to the character. I just hope they'll do Amy as a character and her relationship with Sonic (both platonically and romantically) justice. 🤞🥰

Yeah...but, at the same time...I hope that they don't make her character too😊 similar to Princess Peach in the recent SMB movie. They can cut out the "damsel in distress" role and have Amy fight alongside Sonic and friends, but I also think it's okay to leave a bit of "obsessed Sonic fan girl" in there. It's one of trademark characteristics and doesn't make her any weaker than Sonic, Talis and Knuckles.

@adu1991 Maybe she's more of a fan girl in the sense that she sees Sonic as this perfect hero who will someday save the entire universe rather than immediately seeing him as her soul mate. Maybe getting to know him helps her to take him off the pedestal she's made for him a bit and helps her to see him as the flawed but kind and courageous teenager he is. She starts to develop real romantic feelings for him as she gets to know him as a friend and teammate. Nonetheless, she still has unwavering faith in him even if he doesn't share her confidence all the time. I guess I just like the idea of her falling for Sonic as she gets to know him rather than her immediately falling in love with him at first sight. Still, she can certainly still be a fan girl in the sense of seeing him as a flawless, future hero of the universe. I will agree with you, though, that I hope they don't make her *exactly* like Princess Peach. She still needs some of the qualities Amy Rose is known for, even if they removed the damsel-in-distress part of her character.

They would have to go younger for the voice of Amy...and pick a female at the same time. Kristen Bell may be getting a bit too old, but Anna Kendrick is a good choice. Other good choices are Alexa Bliss, Peyton List(from "Cobra Kai"), or Emma Roberts. Even Krysten Ritter would be a good choice, since her character didn't do much in Sonic 3.

Okay, officially in the Sonic films no female Mobian protagonists have yet appeared, there are Amy Rose, Cream the rabbit and her mother Vanilla, Rouge the bat, Blaze the cat, Tikal who however is from very remote times of the echidna tribe of Knuckles, so on and so forth. Certainly the fourth film could be the right opportunity to introduce the first female protagonist mobian in the Sonic film saga. I always say this to be safe, no one should write me spoilers under my comments, I have not yet had the opportunity to see the movie of "Sonic 3".

Longclaw appears.... The owl mom who adopted Sonic. She gets killed in the first movie though. She also appears in the Sonic comics that were made by Archie. That's the only one so far. They can also bring in other characters(like Sally Acorn, Scourge, and Enerjak)....but I think they'll strictly stay with the characters from the games first, so that it's not too overwhelming. Silver, Espio, Vector, Charmy, Cream, Blaze, Rouge, Jet, and Wave still haven't appeared yet.

Man, i just know if Sonic and Amy really do get together and, on top of that, actually kiss each other in the movies. @JoeyWendy I was always thinking on the lines of her original personality but a little toned down, and her Sonic Boom personality mashed into one. Cause most people throughout the years since maybe SA1 or possibly Sonic Heroes, till like Sonic Generations is they find that personality irritating to them. But what I find rather strange about that, too, is that ever since Sonic Frontiers and into Sonic X Shadow Generations, people are now suddenly hate the changes being done to Amy. Like, I think it is rather stupid they change Amy behavior and bio in Sonic X Shadow Generations even though the Sonic Gen portion is supposed to be a Remastered game. Besides Sonic Team, Sega or Ian Flynn suck at when doing any romantic relationships when it comes to Sonic, plus not to mention they sure like killing off their female characters like Comso from Sonic X, or Blaze in Sonic 06, even Sonic Frontiers before the Final Horizon DLC.

Me it the other way around, I'll always ship Sonic and Amy with nobody but each other. Sonamy forever!!! I like the idea of Knuckles and Blaze because they are a lot alike and would be cute. Unfortunately Blaze will probably never show up. We will probably also never see Cream, Sally, Rouge, and definitely not Tangle and Whisper, they're too new and probably comic exclusive.
