there were a bunch of different ways they could have ended it as well: taking her to the pokemon center to be "healed" ; Hilda already having a pokemon boyfriend (imagine tails just quietly watching away while a machamp accidentally causes the end of the world by beating the ground in frustration? XD (they can destroy 1000 mountains per second with their punches according to the dex XD). If we wanted to go even darker, they could have gone the "six million dollar man" routine and had tails "we can rebuilder her. Sexier...curvier...furrier!" Hilda: "I'm a monster!" Tails: "You're a mon-STAR! uh, heh heh, I got nothin' Still hot though, hotter even!" Pokemon train-wreck Hilda used hyper beam! It's super effective!

actually, not true, especially if you read the manga. What happens in the games is that the trainer runs away from the wild pokemon or trainer. In the manga though...you lose to a charizard, you're gonna be a barbecue

Quite a few pokemon have descriptions that make them very evil or cruel, the games just don't "show" you these things, including why there are cemetaries in many if not all of the games.

So far: Hilda has confirmed: Emboar, Haxorus, Diancie, Victini, and a Shiny Grapploct Rosa has Serperior, Shaymin, Delibird, and Dewott (hopefully it becomes Hisuian Samurott for some reason) Hmm… it seems that they keep given the female trainers Pokemon they don’t already have. With the exception of Hilbert having confirmed to have caught the Kyurem from the Giant Chasm before the events of B2W2.
