This! One reason why I was highly looking forward to this game! There was also a fan game being developed prior to Frontiers called Sonic Project Hero which was, more or less, what Frontiers was in world design, despite Sonic having more movement options.

Fun Fact: It's actually not supposed to be called "Toei" Sonic because the CD cutscenes were animated by a group of underpaid animators at *"Studio Junio"* So this is supposed to be called Junio Sonic since Toei didn't do anything

The model looks amazing. I think the only thing that'd really make it better is if the quills moved and shook a little bit with Sonic's movement. Beyond that, it looks amazing, and makes me want more developers to create Sonic games with this model more. This "Classic" model looks the very best in 3D.

See this perfectly represents the problem i have with the franchise which is that it is suffering a total identitiy crisis. At some point sonic "split" and what was once an art style change is now a completely different character, known by "modern" sonic. But what is modern sonic! Classic sonic is too cool for school attitude! Modern sonic is serious? But then he became a saturday morning satire. But now he is serious again? There is no... consistency. Sega tried to convince you that these are two different characters and there is no real reason for it! Why? Because the sonic in this video fits in the game perfectly here! It actually looks like a sonic game instead of a zelda one! It still has the sense of wonder and exploration, but is also so bubbly! It's so lively and cartoony! You may disagree with me but this is such a well done mod, it inspires me, it makes me happy, the creator has my respect
