Donkey Kong name in this Sonic rom hack would be Donic because it’s Donkey Kong with the Sonic’s voice. Mario name would be Monic for the same reason.

btw, this fangame is a Modern Sonic 2D fangame, as it uses allot of assets from the Advance series of Sonic games, that were Modern Sonic games, but it uses sprite-based graphics like the Classic Sonic games do, instead of going for a 3D or 3D-illusion method of gaming graphics.

btw, the music for the Special Zone in this fangame, is the Special Zone theme music from Sonic Heroes. Furthermore, the "Nazo" skin for Sonic in this fangame, is of Nazo from the fanmade animation series Nazo Unleashed that takes allot of inspiration from Dragonball for it. Even to the point of Dragon Ball's Cell Games arc. As Nazo is a parody of Cell from Dragonball with his mindset. Additionally, like how Goku and Vegeta at some points of Dragonball does fuse together, Sonic and Shadow fuse together in Nazo Unleashed and become Hyper Shadic, that according to the annotations of one of the episodes of that fanmade Sonic animated series, the Ring costs per second to maintain Hyper Shadic is much more than Super Transformation in the Sonic franchise. I don't remember though if it was 10 Rings per second or 20 Rings. Nazo Unleashed was a rather unique animated series with how it was made; Every character's voice acting except Nazo's and possibly of the news reporter lady who came up briefly, was done with using voiceclips stripped from the games, rather than the animator hiring multiple voice actors to serve every character's role. Sorry, I trailed off the point of this comment for abit there, sorry.

fyi, the reason Cheese is with Cream there, is because Cream is overpowered in Sonic 2D games. That "finger attack" you mentioned? That's not Cream attacking, that's Cream directing Cheese to attack on her behalf. If this is just like the Advance series version of her moveset, you can just send Cheese to just keep hitting the bosses, and you can also direct Cheese to grab item boxes from a distance
