The big problem with modded levels is they look un natural. There's too much open space and lots of set pieces are very unconventional. I know what I just described is in a few level in the game, but they fit better since everything is so compact. In this levels case some areas are much bigger than they need to be, like the tunnel. Still this level looks amazing either way.

When it comes to linear levels, a huge level hinders player's orientation. The idea is to have a level with a proportional area to the character the player is using and its movements

I think the size increase was to accommodate the boost gameplay. Many Generations level mods do this.

This looks great! They did a really good job of keeping the aesthetics of the original sonic adventure stage with places being instantly recognisable, while still changing it up to implement some of the newer mechanics!

This is a wonderful benchmark of how Sonic levels should be. Putting Speed to good use; using it reach certain places. Lots of multiple paths and challenging platforming segments which challenge you to maintain your speed.

I'd say a lot of today's Sonic levels are easier than this. The entirely of Geneartions apart from maybe Planet Wisp. Just think of it as one of the earlier levels perhaps.

Think about how much money could have been made for Sega if they'd done this and released more stages as DLC. And we would have gladly bought them but nope, they had to be dumb and stupid and drop the game practically on release day. How I wish they would have taken a page from one of these other developers and kept the game's support going for another year or two.

This is a really good classic emerald coast level minus the graphic glitches but yeah but the one part I don't like is the music I like classic emerald coast in generations 3ds better

place boost pads within sections of the level where sonic needs to make a 90 degree turn. This will make the player instantly turn and keep the past passed action rolling rather than having the player stop and slow down to accurately move sonic move sonic. The game engine was built for fast past platforming so take advantage of it, but other than that good job it looked half decent.... it needed a lot of improvement visually but still Ive seen worse.
