I really like the idea of the Satam universe being some sort of forgotten dimension that’s slowly fading away. A really sad but awesome concept.

I'd like to think that Robotropolis like any other SATAM/Archie Pre-genesis wave stages appears as temporal anomalies of White Space like echoes of a distant space-time reality, reacting to the Chaos emeralds since the Super Genesis Wave were caused with the same Chaos Energy. And when we continue through the ACTs, we see the world of the stages slowly disappearing as if the temporal anomalies is getting fixed by the chaos energy, returning them back into non-existence.

@yeoldeseawitch I could've, I thought of, but I wanted to do something that would fit into this DLC idea. Like the final act of the bonus level is a boss fight with Eggman where Sally is giving it her all letting out her anger and need for revenge, meanwhile Eggman is treating her as a complete stranger.

I guess the time eater did more than just kidnap Sonic's friends, the guy ruined an entire timeline and now Sonic doesn't remember it, but at least, the other Freedom Fighters are still with him, just not like he remembers them. Also, if Sally reincarnated as Lanolin, I imagine the other Fighters reincarnated as well, and here are my headcanons as to who is who. Bunnie: Tangle Antoine: Whispers Rotor: Jewel

If I re-call SEGA of Japan aren't really fans of the American Created Characters, they own the rights to her and the rest of the Freedom Fighters and can bring them back if they want to but sadly they don't want to and probably don't see enough reach for them to appear in other media. If this was a double act, act 1 Classic, act 2 Modern, then I would make Classic's act based off the original show if the act in this was based on the comics. Otherwise, I feel like it should be underground for Classic where he suddenly appears in the underground world with a new look (Probably cel shade with the necklace) Sonia and Manic next to them talking about how they got a hint on where their mom is, then talking to Classic about the plan. That would be the opening cutscene. (For when you're in white space the cutscene would show Classic going behind the stage and seeing Manic and Sonia picking up his necklace from the show putting it on sending him to the underground dimension.) Ensue Robotropilis act 1 which I'd call as a nickname "A vow fulfilled" For the ending cutscene as they get up to where the trail ends as the trio walks white would slowly fill the screen cutting to Classic (Normal Model) in the white space walking forward looking confused and stopping as the cutscene ends and cuts back to gameplay.
