I wouldn't say they're afraid. Forces bad development explains the short levels while Frontiers make sense from a design standpoint why the levels are short.

@@EternityVoid_ Forces had newbies as level designers, that’s why levels were bland. Frontiers have no real reason to feature short levels. If anything, I want the breaks from the open zone concept to be longer and more interesting. Even if the concept is to reuse stages, well they could have merged different levels together and added more visual themes. I don’t see any appeal in cyberspace as it is, except for music and the few original levels that are quite fun.

@@EternityVoid_ As much levels as Forces, and even those were all original and had more than 4 level themes, as boring as they are. The worst part is levels such as 4-4 in Frontiers are like really damn good. If all were like this, I wouldn't even complain !

Y'all gotta get over forces junk was like 5yrs ago. After the final horizon tower levels and trials along with the difficult and tedious cyberspace side missions I think im satisfied when it comes to long and well designed levels

I was replaying some Unleashed Werehog levels yesterday and was thinking about how well they would work with Frontiers Controls, surprised no one’s made that a mod yet.

With that lighting, the smoothness of Gens (little/no lag) and no Werehog, this level is a piece of cake. Still impressing that people could optimize the whole thing to make this a mod!

Ideally, the definitive Eggman Base should match Eggman's colors, like Press Factory Act 1 did. Unleashed! Eggman Land leaned too heavily into the Dark Gaia aesthetic.
