From what I’ve gathered, that post-parry post is not new; that’s just Super Sonic’s regular pose that he goes into when parrying. Something to note is that Supreme provides an exception to the whole parry teleport thing that we typically see from Super Sonic throughout the game and it’s through the yellow energy projectile volley that it occasionally throws at Sonic, seeing as he strikes that pose upon parrying the projectiles. As for Wyvern’s laser, I always assumed that it was Sonic deflecting the core of the laser back into Wyvern’s mouth.

The sequence is confusing but that little transparent orb is supposed to be the core of the laser and Sonic smacked it back into where it came from making a big spark. They should have just clearly defined what was the core instead of just having a texture inside of a clear light cone
