I wish the writing and dialog was better in this game, cause this team works surprisingly well with one another. Amy is the confident leader and motivator, Cream is the innocent tag-along, and Big's like the taciturn older brother rounding them out. I doubt we'd ever get another team-based sonic game but I'm glad we at least got hero's and the dynamics it brought

Yeah I feel like Amy’s kind of misunderstood in this game. Yeah she’s chasing after sonic at the end but at the beginning one of the main reasons she first starts looking for him is because the image in the newspaper with what looks like sonic with Froggy and chocola. That’s who they we’re trying to rescue. And regards to her cringe line about making sonic marry her I kind of feel like they intended for that to be a joke because Amy wanted sonic to see how much stronger she was and respect her. Amy at this point was really immature but not a psycho like people make her out to be.

@@dorrianbrooks9408 Yeah for real she’s definitely meant to be immature in this era and im convinced people take her way too seriously. I mean she was kind of written off in battle and rush but I still think it’s pretty forgivable. And then free riders I blame the writer. I feel there were some biased writers at ST and especially Sega of America who didn’t like Amy and made her look bad but that’s my theory. I feel Amy learned from each of games. Now her and sonic are written (I headcannon at least) to be bit older and more mature. I will say though I miss Amy being bit flirty with sonic like I found the dynamic cute. So far idw comics has written them my favorite and then frontiers was pretty great!

@@DaGhostToastRoast I dont even think them being written to be more mature is a headcannon, I think it's a natural progression in their character progression as they age. Amy is still that kind, head strong, hopeless romantic she was as a kid, but her experiences across the games have definitely matured her, so much so that she's considered one of the go-to's for leadership positions and is essentially a mainstay in her trio with Sonic and Tails(especially in the comics). Even her flirting and desire fo pursue Sonic has matured. She's not as forward and loud anymore, she has her little quips and moments where she teases him, but she acknowledges that he's a free spirit. While the attraction has kinda been shown to be there on his side(in the comics specifically), they still take things at Sonics preferred pace, and Amy is ok with that, because she's truly gotten to know Sonic and isn't the starstruck fan who saw their possible relationship as destiny via her Tarot Card reading.

The reason why Team Chaotix tried to take Cheese from Cream is because they were ordered by Dr. Eggman to protect 10 Chao from Metal Sonic, which led Team Rose to think they kidnapped Chocola and they want to steal Cheese.

Why? Amy is shown to be a good leader for both Cream and Big in this game. She's not just looking for Sonic, she was helping find Froggy and Chocola. I don't know why her character gets hated in this. The only hate I think is somewhat justified is the scene where she finds Sonic and she wants him to marry her then a battle starts between them. Now I get that battle was meant to be more a joke and Sonic even says ''Amy, knock it off! There's no time to play!'' but it still felt kinda poorly executed.
